Rashmi Desai is one of the leading Indian television actresses. She came into limelight for playing the role of Tapasya Thakur (Tappu) in the popular television serial, Uttaran on Colors channel. She has acted in many B grade movies before working in television serials. She has also worked in Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Manipuri and Bhojpuri movies. She was seen in Nach Baliye 7 alongwith Nandish Sandhu. She will soon be seen in Colors' daily soap Dil Se Dil Tak

Rashami has started her career at an early age and got her first break in Ravan on Zee TV followed by Meet Mila De Rabba on Sony TV and Uttaran on Colors. She has worked in few other serials including Pari Hoon Main (as Pari and Nikki, double role). She has also done episodes for Ssshhh...Phir Koi Hai. Rashmi has done reality shows like Comedy Circus ka Maha Sangram, Zara Nachke Dikha, Crime Patrol, Big Money, Kitchen Champion season 2. She has also won Best Actress Popular ITA Awards and Best Negative Actress Gold Awards in 2010.
